OUR FUTURE
Building the Future of Care for Franklin
Franklin Community Hospice is creating a purpose-built hospice and community hub at Foy Road in Pukekohe — a permanent home for specialist palliative care, support and connection for generations to come.
Construction underway · Planned opening June 2027

Help Us Reach Our $3 Million Goal
Every contribution helps create a calm, modern and purpose-built space where care, dignity and support remain close to home for Franklin families.
Together We’re Building More Than a Facility
We’re building reassurance for families, dignity for patients, and compassionate care for future generations across Franklin.

BUILDING FRANKLIN’S FUTURE
Help Us Reach Our $3 Million Goal
Why We’re Building
Franklin is one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing communities, and the need for accessible specialist palliative care continues to increase.
Our current Hospice facility is extremely limited in space. A single community room currently needs to serve as a meeting room, counselling space, education area, staff space and much more, while only one private counselling room is available for families and bereavement support.
The new purpose-built Hospice at Foy Road will give patients, families and whānau access to dedicated spaces designed specifically for care, privacy, wellbeing, education and connection.
This project is about far more than a building. It is about ensuring Franklin Hospice can continue providing compassionate specialist care locally for generations to come.

More Space for Care, Support and Connection
The new Franklin Hospice will bring clinical care, family support, wellbeing services, education and community connection together in one purpose-built environment.
Three Patient Day Rooms
Calm, flexible spaces for symptom management, specialist assessments and short-term supportive care.
Family & Whānau Spaces
Dedicated private spaces for family meetings, counselling, emotional support and important conversations.
Expanded Wellbeing Services
More space for services such as massage therapy, grief support, counselling and other wellbeing programmes.
Community Education
Purpose-built areas for workshops, information sessions and education without the need to hire external venues.
Health & Community Partnerships
Flexible spaces where Franklin Hospice can work alongside visiting health professionals and community services.
Gardens & Reflection Spaces
Outdoor areas where patients, families and whānau can gather, remember, reflect and spend time together.

Recognition may be in your own name, your family name, the name of a business or organisation, or in memory or honour of someone special.

Our new hospice and its grounds will include many places and features that may hold special meaning for a donor, family, business or community group.
You might choose to contribute towards a tree or planting, an outdoor bench, a garden or courtyard feature, artwork, furnishings, specialist equipment, a memorial feature — or something completely different.
We do not want our recognition programme to limit generosity or imagination. If something is particularly meaningful to you, we would be delighted to explore how your contribution could become part of the new hospice.
Every Contribution Helps Build Franklin’s Future
It will take a whole community to build our new hospice. Whether you give $50, $500 or $5,000, your contribution helps bring our new home closer to reality.
Leave a Lasting Message
For $250, you can create a lasting message within the grounds of the new Franklin Hospice. Your chosen short message will be inscribed on a rock and placed along a pathway within the hospice grounds.
It’s a special way to celebrate someone, remember someone you love, or simply show your support for hospice care in Franklin.
