Mauri Mate
The Māori Palliative Care Framework initiative stems from valuable conversations between Māori individuals, service providers, and researchers. Our goal is simple yet powerful: to ensure that Māori have access to the highest quality palliative care available.
- With this framework in place, we're committed to providing excellent care throughout the entire journey towards end-of-life. We'll be there every step of the way, offering compassionate and comforting support during this time.
- We understand the importance of whānau (family) and their role in the care process. That's why we're here to offer supportive assistance to whānau during and after the illness, as well as during the end-of-life stage. We'll provide spiritual care and support for grief, ensuring that the entire whānau feels nurtured and comforted.
- By embracing these guidelines, we're making a promise to Māori individuals: your unique needs and preferences matter. Together, we'll create a palliative care experience that brings comfort to you and your whānau.
