The great Hospice yarn bombing update

Lockdown has been good for our yarnbombing participants!

We have had more time to knit and crochet and have some fun with it. We are still aiming to wrap the tree in mid October so as soon as we hit level 2, we will need all the knitting to be brought to us at 29 Hall St, Pukekohe. Thank you!

We have been challenged to yarn bomb our tree as part of a National Hospice competition. We have a wonderful tree which we will be decorating (first picture.) The second picture is to give you an idea of how to yarn bomb a tree.

We are looking for talented and not-so-talented people who will:

  • Knit or crochet strips or squares to wrap around our tree
  • Knit or crochet potatoes, carrots or onions (or bags of them!) to hang on our tree
  • Help us decorate the tree when we have enough to decorate it with.

We will be collecting knitted bits and pieces and decorate the tree in October. If you can help us by knitting/ crocheting or even donating yarn, please contact alison@franklinhospice.org.nz or drop it in to us at 29 Hall St Pukekohe.
