By 2028 Franklin Hospice will need to care for more than twice the patient numbers than we first forecast in 2015!
In 2015 we took the best knowledge we could find at the time to help us forecast the expected future demand for Franklin Hospice services. From that information, we created predictions based on modest, medium, and high increases in demand.
Following the trend now set between 2015 and 2019 (the yellow bars in this chart), by 2028 Franklin Hospice will need to be caring for more than twice the patient numbers than we first forecast (the orange bars in the chart).
Ours is by far the largest locality within the Counties-Manukau District Health Board area requiring us to be available for some 78,000 residents (and rapidly rising) living between the southern regions of Auckland City and North Waikato within the blue lines in the map.
